The text consists of a short introduction the catalogue indices a bibliography and a note by J M Peixoto Cabral on the specific gravity of 52 electrum staters of Cyzicus. The major difference from other catalogues is the division of coins into those of the archaic-classical and the Hellenistic period with Alexander's death as the beginning of the later period. The editors admit to some anomalies in this division such as the fact that the coinage of Philip II is shelved under the Hellenistic heading because of its close links with that of Alexander III.
